Nowadays, with the trend of enhancement of globalization, the economic connection between different countries is getting tighter and closer. Culture as the foundation of religion, knowledge and custom has not influenced people’s life style but also their thoughts and behaviors. A new business model “joint-venture” comes out. In spite of high technical skill and good management mode, it demands company to overcome issue cultural differences among different countries and regions while working.
The paper takes Changan & Ford Motors Company as object of study. It uses theory of cross-cultural management and practical cases to analyze the differences of code of management, management environment, challenges and people’s individual roles, responsibilities between China and USA. Besides, the author points out the main reason of conflict in company in the early time they merger. On the one hand, it asks both sides of countries to understand more about cross-culture and communication. On the other hand, adapting and combining creativity strategies, local structure, decision-making and power division. Moreover, the author believes that it is essential to balance masculinity and femininity in working environment. All in all, by using the right management code in today’s world, cultural dissimilarity can bring advantages rather than becoming obstacle.
