For the success of an organization, it is the moral ethics and behaviour which play a key role in its success. The success of any organization can be engraved by the customers. But, if the company is facing moral and ethical issues, it is outcaste by the people. In this case, the discussion will be conducted about General Motors and the major issue which was raised because of the security risk in their cars. The failure in proper implementation of the opening of air bags during accident is a major issue which is discussed in the report.
One of the major works includes the issue related to the car accident IN Chevrolet Cobalt, a car by general motors. It happened with a 16 year old girl, Amber. She was a girl who was driving a car by General Motors when she met an accident. Her mother had reunited with her after she gave up her daughter for adoption after her birth. She suddenly faced an accident in which, the air bags didn’t opened (Wright, 1979). The General motors, who claimed to secure a person’s life even during worst of the accident, had a setback. During the time of accident the engine of the car went off leading to the non-inflation of the air bags. On this the parents of the girl who died, sued general motors for the failure in opening the air bags. They hired an investigator so as to look into the subject matter, clearly. Initially they asked for the off court settlement of the issue (Neimark, 1992).
