For reasons like this, going into the meeting, I was favoring the proposal of a tourism oriented hotel in Pilcopata as it would create jobs and bring more revenue to the town which in turn will help everyone in the community (Beeton, 2006). During the council meeting, I felt like my support for the hotel proposal was a common practice as most other people were also in support of this idea for future developments and opportunities. I also think his concerns were not properly addressed in the council meeting despite the grave risks presented by development of this hotel project to the way he makes his living.
