On a cold evening of 1869’s winters, Christine was home alone, busy in her most favorite leisure activity, composing her new love story. Christine was 25 years old, pretty and simple girl. Christine was a twin sister of Anne and elder sister of Sandy. She used to live with her mother and sisters in a residential compound near paper mill, located in Virton, Belgium, where her father used to work. That evening, little Sandy and mother were out for shopping, and Anne went to a party at her friend’s place.

Christine, tired of sitting for a long, put her head down to take a nap on her table. Suddenly, her window broke with a threatening sound. She saw a tall, dark man standing just next to her table. Out of fear and terror she tried to run towards her room. She fell down half way on the stairs, but managed to gather herself and ran as fast as she could.

The tall dark man chases Christine towards her room, and finally, before she could lock the door, the man caught her.

‘Leave me. I beg you. Stay away. What do you want?’ Christine yelled out of fear.

Anne, who was just back from the party, heard scary yelling of her sister. She ran after her voice,

‘Chris! Where are you? Mama! Chris! Tell me where you all are?’

She followed Christine’s voice till her room. But, it was late. As she opened the door, she saw a man escaping from the window. Christine was half dead.

‘Chris! My sister! What happened to you Chris? Speak up!’
