Feminism is not merely about promotion of men and women being equal. It is a fluid model that needs to be applied in every aspect of life and events (Hatef 1). There are many differential scope to this model. It promotes egalitarianism and also brings to focus some of the other issues like bigotry, racial bias and simple greed that has pervaded the societies. Feminism actually depends on the contextual bases and the subjective basis of the situation. In this analysis, I will write about my memoir and encounters with feminism. I will explain the stand that the modern day feminist ideologies have been largely distorted and the fluideity of the feminist movement has not been understood by the main stream society. Growing up, there was a lot of rhetoric of feminism in the societies and media.

They have the right to vote and work, and there are a number of actions that have been undertaken by the government to promote women equality and reduce gender bias in society. Modern feminism somehow seemed frivolous. But this had all changed when I read the books by Gubar and Gay. It was understood that there are more complex issues that need to be dealt in the current feminism movement. Modern day feminism is subjected a certain level of ridicule. It seems as though the women in the societies have already all the rights and they simply seem to disavow the views of feminism (Gay 4). I also seemed to agree with this ideology before reading this book.
