英语就像其他语言一样，不断地通过添加新词、短语和习语而变得丰富多彩。它也在变化，因为已经存在的词的意义和使用的变化。然而，谁能给出所需更改是好是坏的答案。以防有人认为英语语言的变化没有任何理由。也许有任何理由去检查所给的变化是好是坏，也许在英语语言上有一定的进步和充实。为了保证任何一种语言能够长期生存，一种语言应该具有开放性和适应性。英语是当今使用最广泛的语言之一。这是因为这种语言是非常开放和适应的。正是这种开放性和顺应性赋予了英语力量，使其得以发展、繁荣，并成为世界上最受欢迎的语言。英语的开放性是英语成功和受欢迎的主要因素之一。《牛津英语大词典》对8万个单词进行了计算机化调查，结果发现，英语中只有25%的单词真正源自德语(包括直接从古英语继承而来的单词;
不包括来自法语、拉丁语或其他罗曼语的日耳曼单词)。另外75%的单词来自拉丁语、法语或罗马语。甚至像“music”这样简单的单词也来自法语单词“musique”。有些单词直接用在英语中，而不是其他语言。似曾相识就是这样一个例子。词汇使语言成为可能。它可以被定义为一个极简的两个单词的系统，就像二进制一样，可能适用于计算机，但在人类环境中是不实用的。人类的语言应该促进交流，为人们传达必要的意思提供手段。你能从词汇中得到越多的组合，你就能传达越多的意思。这可能有助于创造更好的语言。如果这些单词不是从其他语言引入的，那么英语词汇量就会非常有限。那种在那种情况下会出现的英语是非常枯燥、无聊和无用的。

English, like other languages, is constantly enriched by the addition of new words, expressions and idioms. It is also changing by virtue of the changes in meaning and use of the already existing words. However, who can give the answer whether the required changes are good or bad. In case it is believed by someone that there aren’t any grounds for the changes in the English language. There may be any ground to check if the given change is good or bad, and there may be a certain improvement and enrichment in English Language. In order to ensure that any languages survive for a long time, there should be an openness and adaptability in a language. English is one of the most spoken languages in the present times. This is because of the fact that this language is very open and adaptive. It is the openness and tendency to adapt that empowers English and allow it to grow, thrive, and become the most popular language in the world.One of the major factors which can be responsible for the success of English and its popularity is the openness of the language. As per the results obtained from the computerized survey done on 80,000 words from the shorter version of the oxford dictionary, it had been found that only 25 % of the words in English have actually originated from the German language (including words directly inherited from Old English;
does not include Germanic words from French, Latin or other Romance languages). The other 75 percent of the words were from the Latin, French or the Roman language. Even the word as simple as “music” comes from French word “musique”. Some of the words are directly used in the English languages from the other language. Déjà vu is one such example.Vocabulary enables a language. It may be defined as a minimalistic two-word system like binary might work for computers but is non-practical in human context. A human language is supposed to facilitate communication and provide means for the people to convey necessary meanings. The more combinations you can get from the vocabulary, the more meanings you can convey. This may help in making of a better language. If the words won’t have been imported from the other languages, there would be very limited English Vocabulary. The kind of English which would have been there in that case was very dull, boring and not useful.
