According to the data gathered, it has been analyzed that the newspaper organizations of United States understand that the public opinion of the US citizens and majority of the global population towards the Muslim nations are negative (Segev 200-222). The research establishes that part of the negative perception developed about Iran in particular and other Muslim nations are due to the constant and ongoing reporting of the general instances about the Iranian regions and associated news in a negative manner. This has been found to be based on the news flow theory as it indicates that certain variables are regarded as newsworthy whereas others are not considered the same. Hence, the US newspaper have exploited the theory to report on such areas that meet the variables of newsworthiness and these reporting are presented in the most provocative manner that not only alerts the readers but also instills a slightly negative opinion formed by the author. This has taken place as the articles reported by the leading newspaper of US indicates that the commercial contracts for the redesign of nuclear plant is being developed due to which increased number of readers were engaged by the newspaper and a perception of future oriented terrorism was showcased. The statements like Iran will not use nuclear facility for weapon production were included that can trigger a mass public interest in the news and follow all upcoming news about Iran. Due to this, majority of the news are related to military and politics. This is in alignment to the assertion made by Segev.
Therefore, due to the constant reporting about the military and political activities across Iran, major newspapers of US have developed a public interest within this domain and continue to increase it with the extensive amount of publications and repeated inclusion of Iran in 20 percent of the overall international newspaper reporting (Segev 200-222). The thesis has been proved with the assertion that the nuclear deals and missiles are often reported by the Iran in order to leverage the tense national relations and develop a sense of concern about terrorism among the readers. Therefore, the other nature of news about Iran is not considered to be presented in light of the reporting about conflicts.
