For the success of the team, collaborative team environment is necessary. Practicing the following will help the members to construct a collaborative environment (Fisher et al., 1995):

• Have trust in each other
• Goals should be clear among all the members
• Balancing the focus of the team
• Appreciating diversity

To be effective collaborators, proper selection, training and diverse people are the main concerns, but if three indispensible qualities, open-mindedness, enthusiasm and curiosity are there, it will overcome shortage of diversity and experience or any other skill. So these qualities should be focused on while making a team.

Creating and developing SYNERGY among the team members is of utmost requirement as this will bring out the best in them. They should have a complementing role to play where one person’s weaknesses would be covered by the other person’s strengths. Hence people with diversified qualities, background, credentials, behavioural skills should be chosen so that they can have a complementary role to play. Some desired qualities can be the following:
