By the 12th century, China had invented the bronze movable type. This technique was used to printing official documents of Jin and Southern Song Dynasty. The metal movable type had gained popularity during different dynasties. The movable type printing had played a major role in enhancing different fields since the starting of Renaissance. The people of that time became more intended towards reading and thus invention of printing press became impactful. The printers of Renaissance not only printed books, but also printed advertisement materials and pamphlets. Picture books were printed in order to teach children and spread knowledge and awareness. This allowed people to enhance their knowledge and open ways to receive quality education. The maps were also printed that helped travelers and foreigners. The invention of maps was very prominent for the explorers of America and for those, who had great interest in the ‘New World’. The invention of printing and movable types, people also find interest in writing and more writers were coming up with their writings.
The writers were receiving inspiration to write, as they could reach more reading materials (books and texts). Some of the writers were successful in producing Roman and Greeks literature classics as printing through movable type had become easy. These people were considered and called as the Humanists, as they produced classic texts. These humanists take the initiative to teach Latin and Greek to other people so that those people could read the classics.The printing also had a great influence over the world religions. The period, which followed the period of invention of printing, was called as ‘Reformation’. It was named reformation, as many new religions were formed Martin Luther, who was also a monk wrote 95 thesis to inform the world that what is wrong with the churches. Church could not punish him because his theses were read by the people. Before the invention of the movable type, the church had control over the books and their printing. However, revolutionary movable printing allowed people to provide their ideas to the world.
