让我们考虑一下我采访过的“当地慈善组织者”的情况。在询问时，我注意到慈善组织者有一个完整的培训手册。手册中有关于工作人员必须接受培训的各个方面的政策 – 招待，清洁，消防演习等。此外，还介绍了必须进行这些培训课程的时间。例如，每四个月后就要进行一次消防演习。
Proper staff training is one of the keys behind ensuring safety and security in an event. Moreover, most of the organizations have a standard, well documented training manual to make sure that they train their staff adequately; so that they are able to act quickly and properly in times of needs or in an emergency.
Let us consider the case of a ‘local charity organizer’ that I interviewed. On inquiry, I noted that the charity organizer had a well-documented training manual in place. The manual had policies relating to the various aspects that the staff must be trained about – hospitality, cleanliness, fire drills, etc. Moreover, it describes the time duration after which these training sessions must be conducted. For example, fire drills must be conducted after every 4 months, etc.
To ensure safety and security, the charity had very stringent recruitment and selection policies. For example, it conducts a detailed background check of a candidate before finally selecting him/ her. The candidate’s past experience as well as the reputation of their past recruiters is given importance.
Moreover, on inquiry I also got to know that the charity has special rewards/ award provisions in place and rewarded its top performing employees on a quarterly basis. One of the criteria for these awards is ‘adhering to the safety and health procedures/ standards mentioned in the training manual’.
