The new media have emerged as a prime potential method to break away the monotonous methods of information flow and now all the decision are taken taking two way communication channel into consideration (Corner and Pels, 2003). The new mode of communication through internet have provided a platform and this way millions of people all across the world have the opportunity to voice their opinion and this time it doesn’t get unnoticed. People and leader can have immediate dialogue wherever and whenever they want to have one. This further leads to development of new forums on daily basis of different type of interest groups also the formation of public opinion which will be heard loud and clear (Corner and Pels, 2003).
Social media and other network where people can share information has become a common tool for coordination and a platform to gauge the political movement. In fact many counties in Arab and other orthodox and authoritarian countries are constantly trying to limit the use of these social media sites in order to avoid any public opposition (Corner and Pels, 2003). While on the other hand democratic countries like India and America are encouraging these mediums so that the government can get the opportunity to interact more with the people and can help them to bring more radical changes on the basis of people expectation and views. Internet freedom has become an important aspect for these countries. People get the right to argue and debates freely have become important policies for many countries. The impact of these countries is so prominent that the organisations plan and formulate strategies on the basis of the public view and opinion (McQuail, 2010).
