This report is the comprehensive report of the renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors of Australia. According to this report in 2013 the electricity produced in Australia of total produce about 14.76% was from the renewable sources which were capable of providing power to around 5 million homes in Australia. According to the report an amount of $5.187 billion in 2013 was invested in the Australian clean energy project. The online large scale projects for clean energy investments were estimated to be of 705 megawatts worth in 2013 (Byrnes, 2013). In the Clean Energy industry about 21000 people were involved in 2013 and the energy generated through wind turbines was capable of providing electricity to 1.3 million homes. In 2013 nearly 3.1 million people of Australia were directly and indirectly linked with the solar panels i.e. by living or working in the property with solar panels. The demand of electricity through grid suddenly fell for the fifth year. As per an estimate Australians collectively after 2020 will have to pay a sum of $1.4 billion for the electricity bills in the RET (Renewable Energy Target) project is removed.
Australia is having the highest per capita green house emission in the world and is the largest exporter of coal in the world which contributes the highest revenue generation for incomes of exports through coal exports and natural gas exports. Australia is in acute need of the renewable energy area which will act an opportunity for the country for its own growth. Through intense research in the field of renewable energy on priority basis will help the country to curb the international demand for the resources of fossil fuels of Australia.
