I am an integral part of a flourishing and highly successful five star hotel. We make consistent analysis of the tourism and hospitality industry and we have been able to found out that some hospitality institutions may be ready to start this year while some others may well commence in the next three to six years. This will certainly create an intensive level of competition.
What Might this mean?
After going through the strategic analysis of our organization, it is imperative that our organization is not capable enough or strong enough in competing with the business competition. For this reason, our higher management has decided to bring a cultural change to our organization by implementing Covey’s 7 habits. This potential implementation has made me very excited and for this reason I have thoroughly evaluated and analysed Covey’s 7 habits and have made some plans to implement it at a professional and personal level.
From a business perspective, Covey’s Seven Habits can help in developing and improving an individual’s personality and in becoming highly effective and efficient in their profession. By developing certain habits that are important from a personal and business perspective, individuals can effectively make work/life balance with the utmost convenience. However, at the crux of these 7 habits rests a relatively deeper and important understanding of business and having a certain appreciation of what should be done to achieve business goals. Development of business goals may take substantial time and effort but it is certainly worth it and will be beneficial in the long run.
