The current work environment of large organizations is so structured that it is not really essential for the employees to look beyond their everyday work functionality. Some organizations focus on giving their employees a certain percentage of their work time to focus on interests of their choice (such as Google) other than their normal work functions. However, most organization does not have this allotment, they give work functions to employees and employees are strictly expected to focus only on that. This to a large extent will undermine the Intrapreneurialism of the employees. Intrapreneurialism is one of the concepts that will be reflected on in this essay. The other concept selected from Ted talks is innovation. Improving creative thinking is essential for the organization and innovation is how this creative thinking is put to use. An entrepreneur is one who takes hands on responsibility for his work; he is both creative innovative and has the drive to see the work to fruition. On similar note an intrepreneur is one who applied entrepreneurial skills as an employee or a manager in the company. When an employee applies intrepreneurial skills in the company they will be able to be more creative in this work, they would be more innovative and would also be able to help the company move forward in a more competitive way.

Considering the impact of innovation on the hospitality industry it is critical that more intrepreneurs be introduced in the workplace. I believe that the hospitality industry needs both entrepreneurs and intrepreneurs. In the industry, the entrepreneurs would be setting forth newer ventures and innovative establishments; however, it is the intrepreneurs who will be needed in every establishment in order to keep the establishment growing. As a leader in the hospitality industry I will encourage Intrapreneurialism in the company as this is what will lead to innovation. While business leaders start organizations, it is the intrepreneurs that will help keep the company innovative (Inc, 2015). This is essentially the entrepreneurial spirit except it is being applied for productivity and efficiency within the organization. I will encourage the employees within the hospitality sector I manage to take controlled risks in order to solve the organizational problems. The strategies similar to the ones an entrepreneur will use, such as creative thinking, sometimes radical and controlled risks and more will be encouraged in the employee.
