It states that they “generate a significant portion of our revenues from advertising, and a reduction in spending by or loss of advertisers could seriously harm our business” (SEC, 2014). Around an 89% of Google revenue is seen to be generated directly from the advertisers from 2014. Given that Google does not run any form of contracting with the advertiser clients, there is a chance that advertisers will be able to withdraw their advertisements at any time. This will lead to performance and productivity issues for the company. The company therefore intensely focuses on ensuring that advertisements are delivered to the public in proper timing in order to make sure their advertisers are satisfied (SEC, 2014).
