This is considered as arising due to the confusion of the child. However, as a matter of fact, this is a natural feature of bilingualism, which is even used by knowledgeable adults. So, there is nothing wrong for the children to use both words in the same sentence.On the contrary, code-mixing is the proficiency of the bilingual. A child resorts to use such cock-tailing of language when he cannot mentally translate his mother language word into the second language. In order to accommodate with his conversational partner, this is the best way of expressing himself. Moreover, it is an accepted fact that emotion and emphasis can be better expressed in one’s own language. So, there is nothing unusual about it.
