The food and the pricing were not an issue, but service, service wait time, service attitude and way of handling customers were seen to be an issue. In checking for further instances in Zomato, an issue with product was identified. This was with Fat Noodle but at a different location (the Brisbane branch located inside a casino mall, the Treasury Brisbane). Similarly, another customer had argued that he knew by even the smell and aroma of the broth that it was not good (Zomato, 2017b, para 1). Now the problem is observed to be related to the perception of product quality, as the person states they were able to know the product was not what they ordered simply by smelling it.
In addition to this, a personal observation visit was carried out by the researcher-author of this work. It was identified that service staff lacked a more personal touch, it was like everything was executed in a more mechanical manner. Service and wait time lagged a big when big crowds came in. Hence different areas of improvement are available for the restaurant, and it is proposed that such an analysis will be carried out using SERVQUAL instrument (Zeithaml, Parasuraman & Berry, 1990). It is proposed at this point that data would be collected from customers and the service manager.
