In the recent years a lot of emphasis has been placed on discovering alternative sources of energy. Sources of energy can be classified as renewable and non- renewable sources of energy. Coal, petroleum products come under non-renewable sources of energy. World is largely dependent on non-renewable sources. There are lots of disadvantages of non-renewable sources like they will get exhausted in the future and also create pollution. Hence a lot of emphasis is being placed on discovering an alternative fuels. Biofuel is an alternative source of energy which is receiving a lot of emphasis. Initially biofuel received a lot of positive response however later there were many ethical issues which are being raised by different entities and individuals. Experts and environmentalists have started raising questions on the sustainability of the biofuel (Koh & Ghazoul, 2008).
