In the case of western companies, the people are more attuned towards individualism and the companies need to address these notions. The company cannot function as a matrix organization or a flat structure. They need to address the conflicts and the people management is different in these western countries. What works in China will not be reflected in the working procedures of other nations. The management culture has been found to have a large impact on the ways of conducting businesses within the members of the companies. They are found to be based on three factors.
The delegations of the responsibilities within the members of the company are found to be quite different. The employees need to be given responsibilities but they must impact the accountability. The overall mentality of the employees needs to be factored in this design. The western nations have more precise job duties when compared to China. There is lesser individual responsibility that is given to the workers in China. Essentially the job duties and the delegation of the responsibilities are found to vary. The employees are judged as a team. The next factor is the notions of time management.
The time management is faster in the western countries. In China, respect is given for the individual relationship. The people focus on the long-term commitments. The people are all treated as a part of a team. The companies in China give respect and ensure that the particular person does not lose face in a group. They need to understand what the other person is thinking and there are collectivistic ideologies. The people in both these cultures respect time and try to meet the deadlines. However, the code in which they approach this time management is different. The next important factors are the differences in ideology related to collectivism.
