Need for continuous learning and quality maintenance: An organization in the present times needs to ensure that there is a culture of continuous learning within the organization. This is direct related to the quality (Purcell, J. & Hutchinson, 2002). The organization which lacks quality learning will not be able to attain the goals effectively. In order to inculcate continuous learning and the make sure that people seek for new and successful ways and implement the same within the organization. Whenever there is a need for the continuous learning culture, there is a need for the high performance system.
Effective Change Management process is another important factor which leads to the emerging need for the high performance system. In the present times, the organizations need to implement a proper change management process (Wasserman et al, 1966). This is true for the organizations where the organization needs to have continuous changes in different levels of funding, emerging needs of the community, staff turnover, new board members and policies.
Commitment to Excellence: An organization in the present times, need to ensure that they provide the excellent results which leads to the organizational success. An organization which needs a commitment towards excellence need to integrate high standards within their governance, management and the program related opportunities.
Purpose and Results: Another requirement in the present times which has increased the need for the high performance organization is its purpose and results. A high performing organization is much more committed towards the organizational success needs to have a clear purpose and the results. The organization in the present must ensure that they have the needful fulfilment of a number of requirements (Pfeffer, 1998). If the firms have to ensure that they have a well-defined mission which can easily convey the required reasons for the mission and the vision such that each and every employee has a clear idea about the organization’s goal and can work towards the same, a high performance environment needs to be inculcated.
In the present times, the competition between the organizations is huge. In order to ensure that the organizations have a competitive advantage, they need to have a high performance work system. There are a number of relations between the high performance work systems and productivity of the services. In another relation it is related to the profit per employee. The primary need for the organization is to earn a competitive advantage. There are a large number of consequences where the high performance work system is required. In this research, the study has been done on a number of consequences which leads to the emerging needs for the creation of the high performance system (Guthrie, 2001). The analysis has been done on the factors which contribute to the needs of the high performance system. In order to explain the same, the brief literature study has been done. Thus from the evidences of the literature and the present study, it can be concluded that a large number of factors in the present contribute to the need of the high performance systems within the organization.
