This is the second approach that explains about the variations of immigrants on the basis of skills, resources and the methods of these immigrants to adopt the culture and language of the country. Discussing about US the migrants in the country seem as reversible because they are not interested in taking the citizenship of the country. People coming from democratic countries are more social and they are interested in the citizenship. They develop their skills accordingly and fulfill all the obligations that are required for getting citizenship. The differences in individual and groups matter in this aspect because personal traits and personalities matter in decision making. Differences are not only on the basis of skills of the individuals but it can be notified that individuals coming in groups share the same features. Immigrants like Hispanics and Blacks have demographic and psychographics features that are similar. In 1990 half of immigrants in US came from the areas like Asia, Europe and Caribbean (Cohen, et al. 78).
Policies adopted by the countries
This approach explains that it has been notified that countries adopt the policies and regimes that are suitable for them. These policies either work on taking in the immigrants or they give these immigrants away. This happens in conditions when population of the country is increasing and the resources available are not enough for fulfilling the requirements of people. In US the level and quality of immigrants has declined and this is the reason why they have stopped taking in more immigrants. Policies of the government are working for the favor of the economy in total and this approach is not taking in more immigrants. Before 1990 policies of the country were supportive for the immigrants and immigrants came in bulks and in groups in US like Hispanics and Blacks. Today this minority is a major market segment for the marketers and has established their own set of values and culture in the country.
